My wife and I were exploring moving from our home in Savannah Quarters in Pooler. During this time we delt with three realators--one for selling our Savannah home, one for looking for homes in The Landings in Savannah, and one-Doug La Brosse for Dataw Island. Of the three Doug was the best by far. From our first engagement in Spring 2026 he was focused on understanding what exactly the type of house and location on the island to provide us informed options to consider. After looking at 30 homes in The Landings we were alerted to a home in Dataw Island. We immediately contacted Doug and arranged to visit the community. He showed up 6 homes, all of which met our criteria. Once we decided on a home Doug was agressive to ensure we recieved the best outcome to meet our needs. He regularly engaged the builder on our behalf and kept us informed of developments in a timely manner. Doug even went above and beyond as he had minor surgery, but the next day met us at the house to go over on-going developments. We feel that he is not just our realator but our friend. In addition to purchasing the house he ensured we had insights on the Dataw Island and surrounding community. He provided solid recommendations on pet care, landscaping, and shopping. Doug simply is the best at what he does and lives the code of caring for the people who put their trust in him and eliminating a significant amout of stress that comes along with making a move. I would recommend him to my friends (and we have alread) who are considering moving to the Beaufort area.
